Not a pity party for men. A reality check for everyone.
We’ve spent years, and rightly so, unpacking misogyny.
But misandry? It gets a laugh track.
“Men are trash” trends on socials.
“Kill all men” is now printed on coffee mugs and crop tops.
“All men are emotionally stunted” is modern-day brunch talk.
That’s not empowerment. That’s just recycled hate in a new outfit.
The Double Standard Nobody Talks About
Men are constantly told to open up, be vulnerable, share their feelings.
But when they do? They’re mocked. Laughed at. Told they’re weak. Or worse, ignored. Meanwhile, women sharing their emotions is labeled “brave.” That’s the disconnect.
Let’s call it:
Misandry exists.
And just because it’s more subtle or meme-worthy doesn’t mean it’s not rotting the collective psyche.
Why It’s Allowed to Thrive
1. Vengeance Rebranded as Justice
Some think men today should carry the guilt of history’s patriarchy. But collective punishment isn’t healing. It’s lazy activism. Hurting someone new won’t undo what was done.
2. “It’s Just a Joke” Culture
If someone joked about sterilizing all women until they passed a test, we’d riot. But flip the genders, and suddenly it’s edgy comedy.
This isn’t equality. It’s selective outrage.
3. The Myth That Power Cancels Pain
Yes, many men had systemic power. But power doesn’t block trauma.
It doesn’t erase depression.
It doesn’t stop suicide.
And it sure as hell doesn’t mean you’re not human.
What Misandry Costs Us All
- Boys raised to believe they’re broken by default.
- Men who stay silent because being honest might get them labeled a misogynist.
- Relationships wrecked because we’ve taught women to distrust and men to shut down.
- Feminism discredited by its own double standards.
This doesn’t help anyone. Not men. Not women. Not your future kids.
Dehumanizing one group to lift another is just a prettier form of oppression.
What Needs to Change
- Stop glamorizing misandry. It’s not edgy, it’s just outdated.
- Stop turning pain into a gender contest.
- Stop pretending “equality” means silencing one side.
- Start creating space where both men and women can speak, feel, screw up, and grow, without being thrown under a hashtag or burned at the woke stake.
Equality doesn’t mean switching seats at the top.
It means tearing down the bullshit table entirely.
You want a better world?
Build one that respects humans, not just favored demographics.
No more safe hate. No more trendy cruelty. No more pretending one kind of suffering is noble while the other is laughable.
We’re not here to fight each other. We’re here to outgrow the whole damn game.
